Después de que te recojan en tu hotel en Arequipa, un tranquilo recorrido panorámico te llevará al valle del río Colca. Pasará por la famosa Reserva Natural Pampa Cañahuas para presenciar el pastoreo de vicuñas salvajes en las tierras altas. Estos agraciados camélidos son conocidos por su exquisita lana utilizada en finas prendas de vestir.
Luego llegará al encantador pueblo de Chivay para disfrutar de un almuerzo inspirado en recetas regionales (por cuenta propia). Esta será tu casa por la noche. Explore la ciudad en su tiempo libre durante el resto del día para visitar los baños de vapor cercanos o pasear entre la arquitectura inca.
Being the day with a 30-min drive to get breathtaking views over the Colca Canyon from Condor Cross (3,800 m) Nearly 1200m of depth, this is precisely the home of the renowned Andean Condors, whereby you’ll get interesting insights and facts about this beautiful creature with your guide. Make sure to take memorable pictures along the Rim of the Canyon to show off to your friends! You’ll later proceed to the rural villages of Maca and Yanque to admire the perfectly preserved colonial churches and artisan stalls of the towns. Enjoy lunch in a rustic restaurant (own expense) before you take your journey to Puno city.
From here the journey continues in a comfortable tourist coach to Lake Titicaca, the birthplace of the first Inca, Manco Capac. Along the way, you will be able to appreciate the beauty of the Andes as you pass by some lakes, lagoons, trout farms, and Andean flamingos. When we reach the altitude of 4,850m (12,000ft), you will have unique views over these highlands, whereby you will then head towards Puno.
