At the Carmen Alto lookout, stop for unique views and photo opportunities of the surrounding farmland, framed by the Picchu Picchu, Cachani, and the famous Misti volcano.
Afterward, you’ll visit the Andalusian-style church and buildings in the Yanahuara colonial district. These buildings are made out of “Sillar”, a bright white volcanic rock, giving the White City its famous nickname. You’ll stop at another popular viewpoint, El Mirador de Yanahuara, before continuing to the Monastery of St Catherine, where you’ll have a walk through the nunnery’s plazas, narrow alleyways, and lush gardens. This beautiful Dominican religious site remained closed to the public for over four centuries!
